Calvin Allen Saddlery was established in 1975 by Calvin Allen. It was a saddle and tack shop until 1990, when Brenda Allen, Calvin’s wife, broadened the line of tack, added new designs, clothing, boots, hats, and accessories. In 1995 they opened their brick an mortar store at 3830 East I-20 in Hudson Oaks, just east of Weatherford, Texas. Calvin and Brenda pride themselves with making top quality saddles, tack, and handmade leather products, which are bought by customers around the globe. Brenda also travels to the major cutting events across the country, where she sets up a booth with a balanced selection of their saddles, tack and goods. In their spare time, what little there is, they enjoy riding and showing cutting horses.
